Handover checklist
Last checked: 8 November 2026.
The Insiders Handover Checklist: everything owners wish they had checked, from the days before delivery to the first weeks with the car. Tick items off on your phone at the dealer. It keeps the handover thorough and helps you check you got everything.
Your ticks stay on this device only; nothing is sent anywhere. Pick your model to hide items that don't apply, and when you are done, "Copy what's left" gives you a list to send to the dealer. Tagged items (7X, MY27 7X, X, 009) apply only to that model. Where we found no source for what comes with the car, an item says "Confirm what your order includes": your order is the list.
For what happens between order and delivery, and your rights if something is wrong, see Taking delivery.
Watch before you go
A full 7X handover, covering the infotainment and the Zeekr app1. It shows the MY25/MY26 car, but most of it applies to every Zeekr.

Before delivery day
Set up the charging apps (the day before)
Sign up in the app. Add a payment card now, not standing at a charger.2
Same again: do it at home on wifi.3
Sessions have to start in the My NRMA app to get the member price. Some sites take tap and pay.4
Registration is in the app; you start a session by QR code or the code on the charger.5
One card for all of them keeps it simple.
Not covered on the sign-up pages we checked, so ask. App-only is fine for most people.
Car, app and paperwork
A full 7X handover covering the infotainment and the Zeekr app. It shows the MY25/MY26 car.1 Watch it below.
Done before the day, you can pair the car in minutes instead of waiting on a sign-up email.1
Use the licence of the person who is insured.
Keep the confirmation on your phone. Give the insurer the VIN as soon as you have it.
Bank transfer receipt or finance approval, saved on your phone.
A rushed handover is how things get missed. Ask the dealer to book you in properly.
You will check the car and the paperwork against this.
MY25/MY26 and MY27 differ in features and look.6 Which 7X do I have?.
Home charging and the drive home
A licensed electrician does the install. See the quote checklist in Home charging. Home charging.
The 7X manual says no adapters, extension cables or multiple ports. Install a proper outlet if the socket is too far.9
Pick a charger on or near the route and check you have its app set up.
Delivery day
Paperwork
Check variant, colour, extras, and the drive-away price breakdown.
Check the invoice, rego papers and insurance against the VIN on the car.
Or confirm in writing when and how they arrive.
Zeekr's warranty policy refers to it for the service schedule and you show it when claiming.10
Zeekr's standard terms are 5 years / unlimited km, 8 years / 160,000 km on the high-voltage battery. Launch offers can add to this, so check your contract.101112
24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Have your VIN and location ready when you call.13
Handy later for working out which model year you have. Which 7X do I have?.
Ask where it lives.
Accessories fitted before delivery by an authorised dealer carry the full vehicle warranty. Fitted afterwards, 24 months / 20,000 km.10
Exterior walk-around (in daylight)
Crouch and look along each panel. Check the roof and lower edges.
Check bonnet, doors and tailgate.
Compare against the invoice. Optional colours were free during launch offers.
Photograph all four wheels.
RWD 19-inch, Performance AWD 21-inch forged on the MY27 car. Long Range sources differ, so go by your order.68
Ask someone to watch while you press the pedal.
Look in daylight. Choosing an installer.
This is how you tell a MY27 7X. The MY25/MY26 car has it on the bumper.6 Which 7X do I have?.
Interior
Check all seats, door cards and the console.
Show a white and a black screen to spot dead pixels.
Reported as standard on every MY27 grade.6
A new car should show only delivery-run kilometres. If it does not, ask why.
Ask where to find the footage.6
In the box and in the car
What comes standard differs by model and year. Use your order as the list, not this page.
Test each one.
The first 1,000 7X buyers were offered a Type 2 cable, a mini portable (10 amp) cable and a 7 kW home charger. Check your contract.12
Find where it is stored and check it is sealed and complete.
Floor mats, cargo cover, anything promised.
Supply only. The offer listed 5,000 app points, a Frank Green bottle and either an Anker powerbank or sparkling wine.768
Ask if there are any.
The consultant walks you through
Nate's video shows the app features.1
Write down the answer. We have no Zeekr-sourced figure.
DC up to 450 kW (RWD) or 420 kW (Long Range, AWD); AC up to 22 kW. Actual speed depends on the charger.6
RWD: 230 kW DC and 11 kW AC. AWD: 150 kW DC and 22 kW AC.14
FWD: 150 kW DC and 11 kW AC.15
7X sources differ (12 months / 20,000 km vs 24 months / 40,000 km). Get it from your booklet. The MY26 X is 12 months / 20,000 km.161714
Includes flat 12-volt help and a tow to the nearest authorised retailer. Ask what happens if the main battery is flat.18
Where it is stored is not stated in the sources we found.6
Charging check
This checks the charge port, the cable and the app together.
Do not use a damaged cable or port.9
Zeekr's 7X manual says so.9
The manual says sun can trigger overheat protection, which can reduce or stop charging.9
Before you drive off
Enough to reach your first planned charger with margin.
Take a photo. Ask when each will be done.
The ACL lets you reject a car with a major failure and choose repair, replacement or refund. Tell the dealer clearly and say why. The ACCC page does not cover refusing delivery, so raise problems before you sign.19
Plus the service desk.
After delivery
First days
Try a fast charger near home with the app you set up, so the first one is not on a road trip.
Lock, climate, charging status.
Check VIN, plate, and the policy start date.
This is what Zeekr's warranty policy asks.10
Part of the launch offer listed on the ZeCar page.7
Licensed electrician only. Home charging.
First week and the club
App, keys, home charging and settings. I've just got my car.
Take it from your booklet, not from a review.
The club's main channel and the quickest way to reach other owners. Community.
