Forum

We're setting up a proper forum for Zeekr Insiders Australia. It's not quite ready yet, but here's what you can expect.

What the forum is for

The forum will be the place for:

  • Questions & answers: "Is this normal?" "Anyone else getting this issue?" "What tyres are you running?"
  • Discussions: Debating the merits of different charging strategies, sharing road trip stories, comparing configurations
  • Sharing experiences: First impressions, long-term ownership updates, service experiences
  • Regional chat: State-specific discussions about charging networks, dealers, and local events
  • Technical deep-dives: For those who want to get into the weeds of OTA updates, battery management, and diagnostic codes

What the wiki is for

This wiki is for reference material: guides, specifications, how-tos, and documented knowledge. Think of it as the manual.

The forum is for conversations: everything else.

Why a forum?

We've been using Facebook groups, which work well for quick discussions and event coordination. But Facebook isn't great for:

  • Searchability: Try finding that one post from six months ago about winter tyre recommendations
  • Organisation: Threads get buried, topics drift, knowledge gets lost
  • Permanence: Facebook owns your content and can change the rules anytime
  • Privacy: Not everyone wants to be on Facebook

A forum gives us:

  • Proper categories and tags
  • Search that actually works
  • A permanent archive of knowledge
  • No algorithmic timeline nonsense
  • Control over our own data

When will it be ready?

Soon. We're setting it up properly rather than rushing it. When it launches, you'll be able to:

  • Create an account (separate from Facebook)
  • Browse and search topics
  • Ask questions and get answers
  • Follow threads that interest you
  • Get notifications when someone replies to you

Will it replace the Facebook group?

No. The Facebook group isn't going anywhere. It's good for casual chat, event coordination, and reaching a broad audience quickly.

The forum will be for deeper discussions and building a searchable knowledge base. Use whichever platform suits your question or topic.

Planned categories

We're thinking something like:

  • New Owners: First-weeks questions, delivery experiences, getting started
  • Models: Dedicated sections for 7X, X, and 009
  • Charging & Range: Home charging, public networks, road trips
  • Maintenance & Service: Servicing, repairs, warranties, recalls
  • Modifications & Accessories: Mods, aftermarket parts, group buys
  • Regional: State-based discussions
  • Events: Organising and recapping meetups and drives
  • Off-Topic: For everything else

This will evolve based on what the community actually talks about.

How to get involved

Once the forum launches, we'll announce it in the Facebook group and on Instagram. You'll be able to:

  1. Create an account: Simple registration, no Facebook required
  2. Introduce yourself: There'll be a "new members" area
  3. Start posting: Ask questions, share knowledge, join discussions

Early members will help shape what the forum becomes, so if you've got opinions about how it should work, we want to hear them.

Contributing to the Wiki vs Forum

Post in the forum when you:

  • Have a question
  • Want to discuss something
  • Need help with a specific issue
  • Want to share an experience

Contribute to the wiki when you:

  • Have documented a process others might need
  • Want to add specifications or reference data
  • Have written a guide or how-to
  • Found an error in existing documentation

The best content often starts as a forum discussion and gets refined into a wiki article.

The forum will be available at:

https://forums.zeekrinsiders.com.au/

In the meantime, use the Facebook group for discussions and questions.

Questions about the forum?
