Why Zeekr?

Last checked: 8 November 2026.

Zeekr is a newer brand in Australia, so it's fair to ask what you get and what you give up. This page sticks to what we can source, plus the trade-offs owners should weigh.

2027 7X (MY27)

The updated 2027 7X (MY27) delivers from December 2026. Figures on this page are for the MY25/MY26 car unless marked. See Which 7X do I have?.

What you get

800V charging on the 7X

The 7X runs an 800V system with DC peaks of up to 450 kW (RWD) and 420 kW (Long Range and AWD)1. A higher-voltage car can draw more power from a high-output charger, so on a road trip the stops can be shorter. What you see on the day depends on the charger, the battery temperature and your starting charge.

Sources differ

Published 10-80% times for the 7X range from about 10 to 16 minutes depending on the variant, the source and the date: Zeekr's own page shows 13 minutes (RWD) and 16 minutes (Long Range, AWD) in one table and 11 minutes in another, and EV Central quotes "as little as 11 minutes"23. Treat these as best-case figures.

Warranty and roadside assistance

Coverage Details
Vehicle warranty 5 years / unlimited km (private use)
High-voltage battery 8 years / 160,000 km, repair or replacement if health falls below 70%
Roadside assistance 5 years

Source:4. The first 1,000 7X buyers were offered 7 years of warranty and roadside assistance as a launch offer5; if you bought under an offer, check your contract.

A local network

Zeekr lists 17 sales sites across ACT, NSW, QLD, SA, VIC and WA6. Not every site services cars; see Where to Buy for which do.

Servicing

Service intervals depend on the model and model year. The MY26 X is serviced every 12 months or 20,000 km7. For the 7X, published sources disagree, so check your service booklet. Each model's service schedule page has the detail: 7X, X, 009.

The trade-offs

  • A newer brand. Fewer people will know the car, and there is little long-term ownership history in Australia yet.
  • Resale is unknown. Without years of used-car sales, nobody can say how Zeekrs will hold their value here.
  • Service coverage is thinner than older brands. Check how far your nearest service centre is before you buy, especially in regional areas. There are no Zeekr sites in Tasmania or the Northern Territory6.
  • Model-year changes. The 7X was updated for 2027 at the same prices with more power and more standard equipment1. If you are buying around a model-year change, compare what each car includes.

Who it suits

A Zeekr is worth a look if you want an EV with fast DC charging (the 7X), a long warranty with no kilometre limit, and you are near a service centre. If you need a brand with a long local track record or live far from a service site, weigh that first.
