800V architecture
A higher-voltage electrical system that carries the same power with less current, so the car can sustain faster charging. The 7X uses one1.
A
AC charging
Charging from mains power at home, at work or at destination chargers. The car's onboard charger converts the AC to DC, and its rating sets the top speed.
ADAS
The car's driver aids, such as adaptive cruise, lane keeping and speed alerts. On the 7X their settings sit under Zeekr AD2.
ANCAP
The independent body that crash-tests new cars sold in Australia and New Zealand and rates them out of five stars.
B
Battery degradation
The slow loss of usable capacity as a battery ages and cycles, which shows up as less range from a full charge. State of health is how it is measured.
See: NMC vs LFP batteries
Battery pack
The large battery that drives the car, sized in kWh. It feeds the motors through a single-speed reduction gear, so there is no engine oil, spark plugs, exhaust or fuel system to service.
See: kW vs kWh
Battery warranty
Zeekr's Australian warranty on the high-voltage battery runs for 8 years or 160,000 km3.
Bidirectional charger
A charger that can send power out of the car as well as into it. V2H and V2G need one.
See: V2L
BMS
The electronics and software that monitor and protect the battery pack, including slowing charging as it fills and estimating the state of charge.
C
CCS2
The DC fast-charging plug used in Australia: a Type 2 socket with two extra large pins below it for DC4.
See: Plugs and cables
CEC
The industry body that lists approved inverters and bidirectional chargers. A V2G charger needs to be on its list before it can be installed in an Australian home.
See: V2L
Cell balancing
The BMS evening out the charge across the pack's cells, which mostly happens near a full charge. It is one reason LFP cars are given an occasional full charge.
Ceramic coating
A hard, glossy layer applied over the paint that makes it easier to clean. It does not stop stone chips the way PPF does.
CHAdeMO
An older DC fast-charging standard, found mostly on older Japanese-built cars4. Zeekrs do not use it.
See: Plugs and cables
Charge limit
The state of charge you set the car to stop at. The usual advice differs for NMC and LFP batteries, and your owner's manual comes first.
Charging curve
A chart of charging power against state of charge. Power ramps up, holds near a peak, then tapers as the battery fills, which is why fast-charge times are quoted from 10% to 80%.
Chattel mortgage
A business car loan in which the buyer owns the car from the start and the lender holds it as security.
See: Finance options
CLTC
China's laboratory range test. It usually gives higher figures than WLTP, so China-market range claims are not comparable with Australian ones.
CTP
The compulsory insurance that covers injury to other people, paid with registration and part of on-road costs.
D
DC fast charging
Public fast charging, where the charger converts mains power to DC and feeds the battery directly, bypassing the onboard charger.
DNSP
The company that runs the local poles and wires, such as Ausgrid or Energex, and sets the rules for connecting a home charger.
Drive-away price
The full price to drive the car away, including on-road costs such as stamp duty, registration and CTP.
DVR
A built-in dashcam that records with the car's own cameras. It is standard on every MY27 7X grade5.
See: Which 7X do I have?
E
EVSE
The proper name for a wallbox or charging post: the equipment between the supply and the car.
F
FBT
A tax on benefits an employer provides. Eligible EVs supplied through an employer, including by novated lease, can be exempt6.
See: Finance options
I
Idle fee
A per-minute charge some networks add when a car stays plugged in after charging finishes, or past a set level at busy sites.
See: Charging etiquette
Inverter
The electronics between the battery and the motor, turning the battery's DC into the AC the motor runs on and back again under regenerative braking.
K
kWh/100 km
How much energy the car uses to drive 100 km, the EV's equivalent of litres per 100 km. The trip computer shows it.
See: kW vs kWh
L
LCT
A federal tax on the part of a car's price above a threshold, which is higher for fuel-efficient vehicles including EVs. The threshold also caps the FBT exemption.
See: Finance options
LFP
A battery chemistry that tolerates more charge cycles and full charges, with a flat voltage curve that makes the gauge harder to judge. Zeekr uses it in the X RWD and 7X RWD75.
LFP calibration
A full charge that lets the car correct its estimate of how full an LFP battery is.
Load balancing
A charger feature that cuts charging power when the house is drawing a lot, so the main switch does not trip.
See: Home charging
M
MY25/MY26
The wiki's name for the original 7X, sold from its 2025 launch until the MY27 update. A figure without a model year can differ between the two.
See: Which 7X do I have?
MY27
The updated 7X, with more power and the same prices. Orders opened on 1 November 2026 and first deliveries are expected in December 202658.
See: Which 7X do I have?
N
NMC
A battery chemistry that stores more energy per kilogram than LFP, usually given an 80% to 90% daily charge limit. Zeekr uses it in the X AWD, the 7X Long Range and Performance AWD, and the 009 FWD759.
See: NMC vs LFP batteries
Novated lease
A three-way agreement between you, your employer and a lender, where the car's costs come out of your pay. For an eligible EV it can be FBT-exempt.
See: Finance options
O
On-road costs
The costs on top of the car's price before you can drive it: stamp duty, registration, CTP and any dealer delivery charge.
Onboard charger
The unit inside the car that converts AC to DC for the battery. Its rating sets the AC charging speed: 11 kW or 22 kW on the Zeekrs with published figures75.
One-pedal driving
A strong regenerative braking setting that slows the car to a stop when you lift off the accelerator, so you rarely need the brake pedal. What your car offers is in its driving settings.
OTA update
A software update the car downloads and installs itself, with no workshop visit. Zeekr's first OTA update for the 7X in Australia was reported in June 202610.
See: Owner modifications
P
PlugShare
An app and website that maps public chargers across networks, with check-ins from other drivers.
See: Public charging

Registration
The state or territory licence to drive the car on public roads, renewed each year.
RFID card
A card or key fob that some charging networks accept for starting a session instead of their app.
See: Public charging
Road user charge
A per-kilometre charge on EVs in place of the fuel excise petrol drivers pay. NSW has legislated one to start on 1 July 202712.
S
Single-phase
The usual home supply, with one live conductor. A home charger on it tops out at about 7 kW.
Solar charging
A charger setting that charges the car from surplus rooftop solar instead of exporting it.
