Zeekr 7X known issues and fixes

Last checked: 8 November 2026.

2027 7X (MY27)

The updated 2027 7X (MY27) delivers from December 2026. Figures on this page are for the MY25/MY26 car unless marked. See Which 7X do I have?.

Common quirks owners raise, with what the owner's manual says about each. Menu names change with software updates, so treat the paths as a starting point.

About the manual we checked

The instructions below come from a 7X owner's manual (2025 Long Range RWD, Netherlands edition) on an unofficial mirror1. We have not checked them against the Australian manual that comes with the car, and Australian cars may behave differently. If yours does not match, tell us and we will update the entry. For anything that might be a fault, go to your dealer: warranty claims go through an authorised Zeekr dealer2.

Driver drowsiness and distraction alerts

Applies to: MY25/MY26 7X. Last confirmed: 8 November 2026, against the manual3.

The issue: the car warns you when it thinks you are drowsy or looking away, for example at the centre screen.

What the manual says:

  • A camera behind the steering wheel watches the driver's eyes. Drowsiness warnings are active above 10 km/h and distraction warnings above 20 km/h.
  • When it detects drowsiness or distraction, it raises the front collision warning to its highest sensitivity.
  • Both alerts are on by default. Each can be turned off under Settings > Safety & Service > Safety, or from the swipe-down menu.

The manual does not say whether the setting survives a restart.

Over-speed alert

Applies to: MY25/MY26 7X. Last confirmed: 8 November 2026, against the manual4.

The issue: the car alerts you when you go over the speed limit it has read.

What the manual says:

  • The alert sounds or shows when you exceed the limit by about 1 km/h.
  • It is on by default at the start of every journey.
  • Change it under Settings > Zeekr AD > Driving assist > Over speed alert. The audible alert can also be turned off from the swipe-down menu.
  • A separate Speed limit update alert plays a sound when the limit changes; that setting stays as you leave it.

The manual does not describe a tolerance or offset setting.

Charging cable won't release

Applies to: MY25/MY26 7X. Last confirmed: 8 November 2026, against the manual5.

The issue: the charging cable stays locked in the charge port after charging.

What the manual says: if the cable is stuck, release it manually; the manual has a separate section on how. Read that section in your own manual before you need it.

Screens frozen or misbehaving

Applies to: MY25/MY26 7X. Last confirmed: 8 November 2026, against the manual6.

The issue: the centre display or driver display hangs, or apps such as music streaming stop responding.

What the manual says: to restart both displays, press and hold the thumbstick on the left of the steering wheel and the scroll wheel on the right of the steering wheel together for ten seconds.
